Skin Care FAQs
Find answers to common questions about our products, shipping, and policies.
You can determine your skin type by observing how it feels after cleansing. If it feels tight, you likely have dry skin. If there's a noticeable shine on your nose and forehead, it's combination. If it's greasy all over, you have oily skin. If it feels comfortable and balanced, it's normal.

A great rule of thumb is to apply products from the thinnest consistency to the thickest. A typical routine would be: 1. Cleanser, 2. Toner/Essence, 3. Serum, 4. Moisturizer, and finally, 5. Sunscreen (in the morning). This allows each product to absorb properly without being blocked by a heavier one.
Yes, we highly recommend it! Your morning routine should focus on protection (think antioxidants like Vitamin C and sunscreen). Your nighttime routine is all about repair and treatment (using ingredients like retinol, exfoliants, and richer moisturizers) while your skin regenerates as you sleep.
It's easy to use too much! Here’s a simple guide:
• Cleanser: A nickel-sized amount.
• Serum: A pea-sized amount (2-3 drops).
• Moisturizer: A dime-sized amount for the face.
• Sunscreen: Two full finger lengths for face and neck.
Using the right amount ensures effectiveness without wasting product.
Think of it this way: a Serum is a concentrated treatment that targets specific concerns like fine lines, dullness, or acne with potent active ingredients. A Moisturizer is designed to hydrate the skin and lock in all the benefits of your serum by creating a protective barrier. They work best as a team!
Yes, 100%! UVA rays, which cause premature aging, can penetrate through windows. Sunscreen is the single most important anti-aging product you can use. Making it a daily habit is the best long-term investment you can make for your skin's health and appearance.
Patience is key in skincare. While you might feel immediate hydration, most active ingredients need time to work. On average, it takes about 4-8 weeks of consistent use to see noticeable changes, as this is the time it takes for your skin cells to turn over. Stick with it!
This could be "skin purging." If the product contains active ingredients like AHAs, BHAs, or retinol, it might speed up cell turnover, bringing underlying clogs to the surface. Purging typically occurs in areas where you usually break out and clears up within a few weeks. However, if you experience irritation, redness, or breakouts in new areas, it might be a reaction, and you should stop using the product.
We formulate our products to be gentle yet effective. Many of our products are designed specifically for sensitive skin, free from common irritants like harsh fragrances and alcohol. However, everyone's skin is unique. We always recommend performing a patch test on a small area of your inner arm before applying a new product to your face.
Yes, we have products specifically formulated to address hyperpigmentation. Look for ingredients like Vitamin C, Niacinamide, and Alpha Arbutin in our serums and treatments. They work by inhibiting melanin production and promoting a brighter, more even skin tone. Consistent use, especially with daily sunscreen, is crucial for best results.
Great question! It's best to be cautious here. We recommend using Vitamin C in the morning (for antioxidant protection) and Retinol at night (as it can make skin sun-sensitive). Using them at the same time can sometimes cause irritation. Always introduce new active ingredients slowly into your routine.
While we love the power of nature, our philosophy is "skin-first." We focus on ingredients that are both safe and effective, whether they are naturally derived or created safely in a lab. The most important thing is how an ingredient interacts with your skin. We prioritize biocompatible formulas that your skin can recognize and use effectively, avoiding any known toxins or irritants.
On each of our products, you'll find a small symbol that looks like an open jar with a number inside (e.g., "12M"). This is the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol, which indicates how many months the product is good for after you've opened it. For example, "12M" means you should use the product within 12 months of opening.
The skin around your eyes is much thinner and more delicate than the rest of your face, making it one of the first areas to show signs of aging. Eye creams are specifically formulated to be gentler and target concerns like fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles. While not essential for everyone, it's a great step for targeted care.
It's a subtle but important difference! Hydrating ingredients (like Hyaluronic Acid) attract water and increase the water content of your skin cells. Moisturizing ingredients (like ceramides or shea butter) create a barrier on the skin's surface to prevent that water from escaping. Dry skin needs more moisturizing, while dehydrated skin needs more hydration. Many skins need both!
Modern toners are no longer the harsh, stripping liquids of the past! Today's toners are designed to do many things: they can provide a base layer of hydration, balance your skin's pH after cleansing, and help the serums you apply next to absorb more effectively. While not strictly necessary for everyone, a good hydrating or exfoliating toner can significantly boost your routine.
Many of our products are gentle and formulated without ingredients that are commonly avoided during pregnancy (like high-strength retinoids). However, as every pregnancy is unique, we strongly recommend that you share the ingredient list of any product with your doctor or healthcare provider to ensure it's the right choice for you during this special time.
